Shih-BOO-ee

Japanese for "elegant with a touch of bitterness", we chose the word 'shibui' because of its layered meaning.

A

//

We support our retailers by not selling to the public. To locate a store near you, or find an online retailer, see SHIBUI RETAILERS.

11

//

How do I (insert knitting techniques here)?

A

//

We suggest consulting some of the wealth of resources on the internet, or the staff at your local yarn store where you purchased the pattern and yarn.

12

//

How do I care for my knitted garments?

A

//

Every skein of Shibui yarn has a tag with specific instructions. Most hand-knitting yarns are best cared for by soaking in lukewarm water with a capful of Eucalan or Soak and laying flat to dry. Some yarns, including superwash wool like Shibui Sock, can be machine washed but will last longer and look better when hand washed and dried.
